Estate Planning

It is important that you give consideration to estate planning, particularly where you have a significant pool of assets, children to be provided for, and given the changing shape of the family unit, you may need to give special consideration for combined, divorced and de facto families.

Effective Estate Planning gives you:

  • Choices
  • Protection for yourself, your family and intended beneficiaires
  • Control over your estate, finances and personal issues.

When you do not leave a will your estate is dealt with according to guidelines determined by the government which may not correspond with your wishes (this is known as intestacy).

DON’T PUT YOUR DECISIONS OFF UNTIL YOU DON’T HAVE ANY!

Estate planning needs to be reviewed if:

  • You don’t have any
  • Your documents are old
  • Your circumstances have changed

An estate plan is NOT just about the preparation of a will so that your beneficiaries (usually your children) get an even share of what you own.

An estate plan IS about the transference of your family values, your wishes, your dreams and what it is you want the family to achieve.

Rather than struggle with these issues alone, seek our professional advice so that you can make informed decisions with your estate. Every financial and personal consideration is investigated, and planned for, and control of it remains with you.
